I have and Old AC'97 and I really want to upgrade sound card to something
compatible with Vista. I have a P4VXMD 1600mhz with 3x PCI slots and 1 AGP.
Any advice on the best suitable for my PC would be great. thanks in advance

Thanks freddy, you have been very helpful and I just bought the graphics card
you suggested in my previous Q. Would updating my sound card help? Is there a
particular one I should buy or would any creative one be ok for my PC? I
understand there is no point in buying something too expensive as My PC is
getting a bit old now, but what one would you recommend? thanks again

sambo54,

Well, I'm a bit confused. You say that you just bought one and then you ask
which one should you buy. Whatever you mean, I'd think a basic stereo card
would suffice for your needs, as best as I can tell from afar. I'm not
totally familiar with all the cards that Creative currently offers. Just
look them over and buy a basic stereo card that's Vista compatible. It's
important that it be Vista Compatible. Make sure you have a free slot (PCI,
PCIe, etc.) in which to install it.
