Outlook 2003.

I think this happens only with respect to my Junk E-mail folder: Even
though all of the messages in the folder have been read (or "Marked as
Read), the folder name remains bolded in the Mail Folder list in the Nav
Pane. (Also, since I have the that folder listed to show on my Outlook
Today page, there always appear to be unread messages showing there as
well.)

But the number that follows the folder name (supposedly to indicate the
number of unread messages in that bolded folder) is green, and in brackets,
whereas with other folders, the number of unread messages is blue, and in
parens.

Remember, though, that all of the messages in the Junk folder have already
been read. FWIW, none of them is "flagged."

Thanks.

Excellent! Just one of those things that you'd never know about.
Thanks.

choose properties.

Diane:

A follow-up. Although I set the properties in the folder list to "show
number of unread items" instead of "total number of iterms," that took care
of only the view of the folder list in the nav pane. In the view of Outlook
Today, the total number of items still shows.

This is a problem, because I rely on Outlook Today to tell me if I should be
checking the Junk folder to sift out legit mail.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.
