It appears that when I'm replying to a plain text message, editing functions
(bold, underline, etc) are disabled. Is there a way to enable them?

Thanks.

You'd need to switch to HTML format - plain text is, well, plain text.

Since when is someone stating the truth being condescending? The simple fact

formatting.
