Don 'Bear' Wilkinson
This is on Windows XP SP1, Outlook 2003 with Updates
I just upgraded from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003. Most things went
well.
I am configured to NOT send automatically. I pre-process incoming mail
to filter for Spam so I have have turned off auto-send and have the
habit of hitting "Send" (or, in OL2K it was "Send/Receive") on the
toolbar.
Just now I tried to send a message. Here's what happened:
1. Compose message
2. Hit "Send" on toolbar
3. Get dialog: "Do you want to save changes? yes/no/cancel"
This is new. I have never been asked this before.
4. Reply "yes"
5. Get dialog: "Your changes could not be saved because you don't have
the permission to modify some or all of the item sin this folder. Do
you want to save a copy of this item in the default folder for the
item?"
6. Reply Yes, puts copy of message in Drafts *and* Outbox.
7. Hit "Send" on toolbar.
8. Message is sent (copy in Sent Items) *and* a copy remains in Drafts -
marked as Unread"
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
