Outlook 2003 has a nice feature of not downloading pictures until I tell it
too. Is there a way to see the URL the picture is pointing to without
viewing the source? Something like in Internet Explorer where you hover the
pointer over a link and at the bottom of the screen in the status bar you
see the "unfriendly" URL.
thanks,
-GK

It only does this for hyperlinks as well. You'll need to view the source for
the exact location.

there is no registry setting to have the unclickable URL show up in the mail
or anything like that? Maybe an addon? Opening the source seems quite
complicated for something this simple doesnt it?

If there is only one way to do this suggesting another way is "no" as well

Is there a way of viewing the source without opening an email in Outlook 2000 (as you can in Netscape)
Alternatively, how do you block showing pictures?

No, both options are only supported in Outlook 2003
