OL2002 - Changing behaviour of appointment requests

Hi,

Is there a way with OL2002 to force users to accept or decline a meeting and
provide feedback to the initiator? I have some users that accidentally
delete meeting requests and updates that is causing real headaches. Any help
will be appreciated!

User education is the only real method to get users to use Outlook
correctly.

Outlook does not have the ability to thump someone if they accidentally try
to delete an item without response.

The ability to thump someone would be very useful! However, I'd be happy if
the logic could be modified to warn users before they delete a request that
hasn't been acted upon. This doesn't sound right to me, that a user however
skilled can inadvertently delete a meeting update while cleaning her inbox
and have the appointment removed from her diary without any warning!?

You may want to call Microsoft PSS and request the hotfix in 816140. This
should prevent the item from being removed from the calendar due to
inadvertant dletion of the update request.
