OL2000 form appears as plain text instead of HTML

I have spent hours trying to read up on this without success. OL2000
sometimes (rarely) allows me to create and publish a form which will be in
HTML each time I use it. Most times however, when I try to create another
form and publish then use, it is in plain text even though it should be
HTML. I do have HTML select in my Mail Format of OL.

I send out repetitious emails of invoices and reminders to pay and prefer
HTML for a more professional corporate look. Any advice on alternatives on
what I can do as I want the subject line already completed, I want to
determine which box the message is stored in and the email address I am
sending it from.

I thought of using macros but I could not get them to be HTML either.

If you can point me in the direction of a URL or a book to read, I would
appreciate this. Tried Sue's site linking to MS help pages without success.

Thanks

GW

What is the format of your form in design mode? If it is in HTML when you
publish it, it should retain that format when you create a new item based on
that form. The default message format has no bearing on this.

Are you setting the Body property in code? This will reset the formatting
of the message in Outlook 2000. BTW, Outlook 2002 and greater supports a
BodyFormat property that allows you to specify which format to use.

Thank Eric.

Are you setting the Body property in code? ???? Could you please explain this to me. If I
should go to code view, I then see a blank page and no code.

My format is HTML Design.

Until I can upgrade, can I do anything. Seems strange that following exactly the same
procedure, sometimes it works and most times it does not.

You can't change the message format with the Outlook Object Model in 2000,
although it is possible using CDO.

So the message format of your form in design mode is HTML? And when you
create a new instance of that form, it is in plain text? Or does it open in
HTML, but revert to plain text after you do something? And you say this
doesn't always happen? Have you installed SP3?
