Tom

I'm having a strange problem with OL 2003 encoding/decoding. Have done a
Google search to no avail, and posted here before, but had a difficult
time, I guess, explaining the exact nature of the problem.

I put some screen shots on a web page, and hope that someone can help me
find a solution/workaround. I really think this is a bug as I can duplicate
it on the two machines I have running OL 2003...

Thanks in advance, and please post your comments/ideas to this group.

what character set/encoding are you using? The missing characters usually
mean the font on the viewing end doesn't have that character... that it only
happens on web front ends indicates the font called for in the html is not
available - possibly because it's using encoding not supported by the web
service.

Diane,

It's consistant with every font/encoding combination I try... Times New
Roman, Arial, Courier... And it always displays perfectly on the webmail
screen, and when the reply is even in the same font, it's only the
portion that I originated that's corrupted!?

And I've tried the above three fonts with US-ASCII, Western Euro (ISO)
and Western Euro (Windows), always with the same results, regardless of
the combination?
