Hi All...

I am loading my old .pst onto a new laptop and could have sworn that
the e-mail acocunt information was stored in the .pst. After loading
it and making it default, it appears that isn't so. Is there a file
that contains this information? There are 14 email accounts that I
monitor and would rather not recreate them if at all possible.

Thanks in advance.

On the old machine do Start-All Programs-Microsoft Office-Microsoft Office
Tools-Save my settings wizard and save your settings. Copy the resultant
file to the new machine and do the reverse, i.e. import the settings file.

So it's not stored in a file on the old machine? Time to start typing
I suppose. Thanks!

You could import them into Outlook Express. Then in OE, go to the
accounts and export each one to an .iaf file. Reverse the process to
import back into a new instance of Outlook.

Gordon already mentioned the wizard for saving Office settings. You can
also use the Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System -> File and
Settings Transfer wizard. Check the box "Let me select ..." if you just
want to save Outlook settings and/or files to then use later to import.

Hi All,
The email account setting is stored in this registry key.
"HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Windows Messaging

Subsystem\Profiles\<profile name>"
