Hi there,
I hope someone can help me.
I upgraded an Office 2000 installation with Office 2003. Now, whenever an
email is sent to an unfamiliar email address, Outlook adds the address to the
contact list with no other information.
The option to deactivate this is not available in OL2003, and there are no
add-ins of this type installed.

I have tried installing all available updates, as well as trying a "Detect
and Repair" but the problem persists.

Can anyone suggest what this may be caused by?

Thanks

Peter

No it doesn't. It may add it to your autocompletion cache, but that's not
connected to your Contacts in any way.

Sure it is. Click Tools>Options>E-mail Options>Advanced E-mail Options and
uncheck the box that says "Suggest names while completing...".
