I would like to be able to use the address view but I can
not set it up where it resembles the phone list view in
that I want the first name to be listed first in the
shaded area. I have them sorted by first name etc and have
tried several other sort methods but I can't seem to get
the first name to appear before the last name.
Any ideas appreciated.
thanks

Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set your sort order there

Thanks. I followed the instructions and some show up
properly but most are still in the last name, first name
format. Probably because over the years some have been
imported from other contact lists etc. and the format was
wrong when imported...maybe? :0)

Especially if you imported from a PAB, where both first and last name were
in the same field. Check the individual Contacts that aren't sorting
correctly and see what their "File As" fields show.
