Hi
We have a OKI 3391 ML for a year or so. We use it to print multi-page
continuous invoice stationery using the Epson LQ-1050 driver with a custom
printer form size. Recently we re-did the dell pc that the printer is
connected to using the original win xp disk that came with the pc. Since
around the same time OKI 3391 is not the same. It seems to have developed
two problems;
1. It has started printing parts of invoice text double i.e. it prints over
twice some portions of the text but not all text. The portions of text that
it prints twice do not seem to have any thing common but the behaviour is
consistent i.e. it prints the same text area twice and not other, for each
invoice. The application used for printing is the same as before the problem
occurred so it is not likely to be the cause.
2. When we turn the printer off and then back on, the printer stops printing
and if we send a print job it waits for several minutes than a windows
message comes "There was a problem printing this document..." even though
the printer icon says Ready. The printer icon under Printers & Faxes does
recognise when we switch the printer on and off but it still does not print.
The solution we have found is to delete the OKI and LQ-1050 drivers, restart
PC, let the win xp install OKI driver automatically then install LQ-1050
driver manually, which is a pain to do every time printer is turned off.
Could someone please advise as to what could be the reason for these
problems and any possible fix?
Thanks
Regards
