Okay, here we go again!!!

I downloaded Spybot S & D Saturday after learning about
it from you guys here. I ran it and found some potentially
harmful things. I examined each one and got rid of the ones
I decided weren't of any good use (including all the ones I
know I picked up from the adult sites). Everything was fine
for a couple of days.

Then yesterday, out of the blue, I start getting the pop-up message,
blah blah "Remote Procedure Call (RPC) terminated unexpectantly"
and "Shutdown initiated by NT Authority\System," whatever
the hell that means. Then they give me a 1 minute
countdown and Windows closes and the computer re-boots.
I've had this machine for 18 months and have never had this
problem before. Since yesterday, I've experimented by putting
some of the spyware back, getting rid of all the spyware detected,
and I've even uninstalled Spybot (Windows still shut down) and
re-installed it (no change). I also just ran a System Restore, after
which I was able to stay online longer, but still no more than ten
minutes or so. (I restored the system to well before any of my
problems began.)

What's the deal guys? Thanx again.

Where does it say Windows ME ?????
Cliff, which antivirus program are you using and have you scanned your
system for viral activity or are you just using Spybot ?
