All updates working well for 3 weeks, now.

Any problem with deleting the $NTUninstall directories, since
obviously I won't be uninstalling the updates?

Thanks,

Dave

No problem at all. I prefer to copy the folders to a CD before deleting
them, just in case I might someday want an older version of one of the
updated files.

Good idea, and thanks, Gary.

Is there any way to clean up the "Add/Remove Programs" list of programs?
Even if I remove the directories, it remains in this list.
Thanks.

Once you've removed the directories, go into Add/Remove Programs and click
on one of the entries. Windows will tell you that the associated file
does not exist and ask if you want to delete the entry. Click "yes".
Repeat as needed.

OR

Open Regedit to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall,
locate the keys for the patches you no longer want to be able to uninstall
and delete them.

The first method is probably safer, especially if you're not used to
editing the registry. The second method is probably faster.
