Hi Jay,

Control Panel/Sounds and Audio/Sounds tab, in the lower section look at
Program Events. Scroll down the list to Windows Explorer, find "start
navigation". Either change the sound to none or another of your choice.

i just want to stop the clicking noise from happening
when i click a link. thank you.

or if using XP view: Control Panel> Sounds, Speech and Audio
Devices>Pick a Control Panel icon> Sounds and Audio Devices> Sounds>
Program Events

Scroll down to the Windows Explorer category and change the selected
sound for "Start Navigation" to NONE.
