I have used Nortons System works for years and I have now decided to loose
it........FOR EVER. Ev erything I go to do on my pc is dragged down by
Nortons scanning files or snooping under the guise of automatic live updates
or some other lame excuse. If I had a 3 terrahertz + processor associated
hardware I still could not do a simple file copy from disk 1 to disk 2
without Nortons doing a deep level scan (otherwise known as snooping) and
slowing the whole process down to pre pentium rates of performance.
I have a pc on the internet which I call "junkpile" and a ghost image of the
hard disk which I restore instead of virus scanning and updating if needs
be.Simple but effective.

Congratulations. Only took you 7 years longer than me to work that out
but you got there in the end.

Kaspersky 5.0 (paid)

Avast 4.5 (free for non-commercial home use), supports WindowsXP_x64
