Well, this CD came with my new Windows Vista computer, it says "Upgrade your
Windows Vista Experience". I put it into my Windows XP computer and i
installed Home Premium, since i put in my Vista code and it said Home
Premium. So, it went in fine, installed fine, everything loaded up and
everything. But, i have no sound. My speakers are plugged in and are on, at
the bottom it has an x on the sound and it says "No Audio Output Device is
Installed" I went to the driver part and selected to download it from the
internet, it couldnt find one. I dont know what to do, my speakers worked
before with XP, but they wont work with Vista. Ive already had enough
problems with Vista, but this is the worst. Please help people. Thanks

First, manually invoke Windows Update, then search for updates even if WU
says no updates available. You'd be surprised what turns up. If that doesn't
work, work down the list below.

1. Figure out what sound card or on-board sound chipset you are using. If
it's a card, go to the manufacturer's web site and look for/ask about Vista
drivers.
2. If it's an on-board chipset, determine the make and model of your
motherboard and go to the manufacturer's web site for same.
3. If your computer was made by the likes of Dell, HP, Gateway, etc., go to
the appropriate web site and seek Vista drivers.

Check on the computer OEM's tech support site for info on Vista
compatibility and drivers. If it's a retail card then go to the card
manufacturer's web site for drivers. If it's an onboard device check the
motherboard manufacturer's web site.

If you gave some info about what computer it is, and the type of audio
device, someone might have experience with it.

Last question, is that Vista version supposed to be for a different computer
that has XP on it? Your post is unclear in that respect.
