I want to set view @ detail. In the old days.... I would just set view
detail and that was it. It 'seems' that I need to do this for every
directory in XP. Also I would like to do this system wide without
needing to do individually for every directory. Obviously I am missing
something. Any help?

Set up your folder view the way you want. Now go to Tools (on
the toolbar at the top of the window) and select Folder Options
from the menu. On the View tab, hit the "Apply to all folders"
button.

Good luck

In Windows Explorer Tools, Folder Options, View. Apply to All Folders
perhaps?

Another, View, Choose Details?

Hope this helps.

The Default for Windows XP is to remember the view settings for the 400 most recently used folders.

If you want all the Folders to open the same, in Windows Explorer, set the Folder how you wish to
have it and then go to Tools, select Folder Options, View and apply to all Folders.

Set detail view for all folders (85, left column)
