My PPT files is big 4MB but only 10 slides and the only image file is a
small gif logo on the master!
And I have checked ithe gif file, it is small.
I have done "save as" only increases the size.
I run PPT 2002/XP:

So please any tips on what item/object that could be generating the file
size. Or should I simply put all items on new slides?

Thanks

Have a read of this....
Don't use PowerPoint for anything serious until you've done this
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00034.htm

I'm amazed people put up with all this crap, just to be "compatible"
with all the other people who are willing to put up with all this crap.
Baffling.

Suggestion: Use Corel Office's "Presentations". It has more & better
features and doesn't have all these limitations.

As for the IE/OE vs. Mozilla/Netscape debate, I am of the firm belief
that few who have critically analyzed the capabilities and drawbacks of
each side would choose to continue using IE/OE. Therefore, if you choose
to use IE/OE, you either have a compelling need for a specific
plugin/feature, or you don't understand what Mozilla has to offer.

Have you browswed their newsgroup? Corel lists it in the "legacy product"
group, and it has about 30 messages for all of August. Reading a few of the
posts it's clear that "all these limitations" is a relative term. I'm not
sure I'm with you on this one, Peter.

I almost forgot: ... or get OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org/).
It's fully MS office compatible, and it's FREE!

I've tried it. Doesn't run a darned one of my PowerPoint macros.
So much for compatibility. On the other hand, it's got a rep for opening
corrupted PPT files that PPT itself won't open, so there's a lot to be said
for it. Especially at these prices. ;-)

I have to say I'm not fond of Corel Presentations either.
I guess different people are going to find different 'features' important.
