....Like error messages that never go away because this program is such a
steaming pile of (explitive deleted). In the last 20 mins "Movie Maker" has
froze up and shut down about 30 times, thank god I"m not adding music or a
(explitive deleated) effect otherwise we might have been killed.

Well I guess it beats Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens.

Is this a call for help or the forlorn cry of a lost soul?

G'day mate, I can tell ya there's loads of (expletive deleted) in the
back paddock (I'll have to move those roos one of these days), but my
moviemaker implementation is squeaky clean. Theres loads of satisfied MM
users here someone might be able to help you.

If you are asking for help please provide some info - to save time I'll
ask for it all at once:
- Have you checked papajohns problem solving pages? These can be a lot
of help.
- what is the error message you get?
- what format movies are you using as input
- what format sound files
- how many separate clips are in your movie
- What is the size of the project file (MSWMM file) you are opening
- What are you actually doing when it fails

I'll tell ya what, I'll just go and chuck another shrimp on the barbie
while ya work out if youse needs some help.

Hoping you have not expired or destroyed your computer....if you can, save
your project. If the program worked previously, try to restore your
computer to a prior time. 'start' 'help and support' 'restore' and follow
the wizard. Doesn't sound like your project is too complex, but remember
Movie Maker will not react well to Mpeg format. If thats what it is,
convert that Mpeg to AVI or WMV and it will work fine.
There are many ways to skin this cat....just skin it, don't whack it. Good
luck.
