Same ones as before. I downloaded that MS fix RECOMMENDED. Now what?

The little golden shield is going to be destroyed!

oh uh. Did you take the route suggested by the pest known as pcbutts? if so, that "fix" was not authorized or blessed by MS --- not from the souce he quoted
:(

Before you open your mouth and start spouting out lies maybe you should
check the source yourself. You just made an ass out of yourself for assuming
now get lost troll.

Cyberstalking is a crime. If you had one as bad as I did simply ignoring
them is not an option.

Ignore the idiot Maurice he is trying to confuse you. Have you checked for
viruses and malware? Have you defragged your hard drive. Do a
scandisk/chkdsk then a defrag. See if chkdsk find any issues with your hard
drive.

first off - were there new ones issued today by MS????

it was about 10 Security updates, including

Security Update for Access Snapshot Viewer 2003 (KB955439)
Security Update for Microsoft Office 2003 (KB921598)
Security Update for Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 (KB948988)
Security Update for Microsoft Office Word 2003 (KB954464)
which could not be installed -- according to the message after it ran ....

Did all of that at first ... over 60% cap. left and no problems found, even
running One Care, and the Penicillin home scan, Ad-Aware, Avast, et al.

I checked my most recently installations and everything that was in the
original MS Updates group was installed on August 13th.

If there was another set of security updates issued today, 8/15, maybe it's
not going berserk - just me.

"Its not easy being green."

From MS.com after running to check my updates status (I have not wanted
IE7 - had a terrible experience w. it).

"High-priority updates
No high-priority updates for your computer are available. To check for
optional updates, return to our home page and click Custom. "

Follow the instructions here to change from Microsoft Update back to Windows
Update..

http://www.theeldergeek.com/microsoft_update_03.htm

Use Windows Update to update Windows, and use the link I gave you earlier to
update MS Office..
