Ogive Chart

I have an assignment to produce an Ogive chart from a series of data. Apart from never hearing of an Ogive before, do you know if Excel can perform this function?

It transpires that an Ogive chart is a greater than and less than chart, but this doesnt really help me much!

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

The word "ogive" may refer to a cumulative distribution chart.

If so, sort the N data values in a column. In a column on the right, fill
with digits 1 through N. Select the data and digits. Create an XY (Scatter)
chart.

There are various ways to treat the endpoints, including the simplest one
described above. One of the many methods is to use cumulative percentages
from 1/(2*N) through (2*N - 1)/(2*N) in steps of 1/N. Or, use Excel's method
that goes from 0 to 1 in steps of 1/(N-1).
