OFFSET Function

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone had a great
weekend. I am looking for a little help with a formula to
locate a cell within a range that does not = "--" and
return the value of that cell. Someone helped me out by
providing me with an OFFSET function, but the formula did
not work - probably my error as I referenced that the cell
contained text - actually, the cell starts with a number.
Can anyone please help? I would be tremendously
grateful! Thanks in advance! Here is the formula I was
given:

=OFFSET(K6,MAX((K6:O8<>"""--""")*(ROW(K6:O6)))-1,MAX
((INDIRECT("a"&MAX((K6:O6<>"""--""")*(ROW(K6:O6)))&":h"&MAX
((K6:O6<>"""--""")*(ROW(K6:O6))))<>"""--""")*COLUMN(K:O))-
1)

There were ambiguities in your question and the first response which you never
addressed. Follow up in *THAT* thread.
