I understand that a "technical refresh" is required to run 2007 with Vista
RC1, but don't see it posted at the Office 2007 download site.

Anyone know when to expect it?

In the meantime, will 2003 work with it (32 bit edition)?

From eWeek.com

Microsoft's Office 2007 Beta 2 Technical Refresh introduces performance
enhancements as well as user interface tweaks-most notably, more intuitive
ways to work with the new Office ribbon.
Available for download starting Sept. 14 from
www.microsoft.com/office/preview, the Office 2007 Beta 2 Technical
Refresh-for both client and server systems-will be free to Beta 2 customers.
Customers will need to install the update as a patch over Office 2007 Beta
2.

I think I am running the original Beta of RC1 and it seems to work. I have
not spent the $1.50 to download the latest Beta.

Uh wait -- you now have to PAY to TEST their software?
I could understand paying a nominal fee for a CD, but a DOWNLOAD?
That's supposed to be paid for out of their R&DO budget, not testers'
pockets.

Well, having "exceeded their expectations", I guess MS is saying no further
testers are needed. In that case, I'll pass.

Thanks anyway.

I.SO. I know it's only $1.50 -- it's the principle that matters. Once
testers accept that, the price will just go up. A good deal for MS,
though -- get people to PAY YOU to work the bugs out of your product.

Now, if only I could get a mechanic to pay ME to fix my car ;)

I am using Office 2007 beta on Vista x32 (build 5600) without any major
problems
