I'm looking for an easy-to-use freeware program to download selected
websites to my laptop while connected for offline reading later (when not
connected to internet).

I've tried Synchronize in MS Internet Explorer - can't seem to get it to
work well - and takes forever to synchronize (maybe I have settings wrong).

Tried WebReaper - but can't make heads-or-tails out of the program - and
can't get it to do anything..

Anything out there fast and easy to use ?

Many thanks in advance !!!!

I will second HTTRack. I spent some time a while ago looking at 10
different packages (shareware, freeware) and only HTTrack did things the way
I wanted/liked. I actually downloaded each one and installed it and tried
it out. The fact that HTTRack was freeware was a bonus. And it seems to be
supported on a regular basis. I have updated it a couple of times since I
got it a year ago.

agree, but when a site is full with js's and asp's sometimes i prefer
teleport, which isnt freeware.
httrack, f.i., got looping in a site with folder like
root/folder1/folder2/folder3]/asp4]/
and couldnt get out. i stopped it after it downloaded 1gb+...
anyway it sure is a great piece of sw.
ciao, j.

I admit to having had my share of bad HTTrack days. That said, Httrack
is a continuosly evolving animal, one for whom I've developed a great
deal of respect.

I've been running the newest release (3.31-BETA-3) over this past week,
and it's working well. Bug fixes, plus new features...

Note. To check into the "launch button in IE" thingy, one apparently
needs to download the installer release...
