Hi,
I have a couple of network shares that I want to use offline on a laptop (XP
Pro). I have made the network shares available offline. The shares are also
used by other users so before disconnecting the laptop it needs to be
synchronised. If I do this manually, i.e. by selecting synchronise in an
explorer window, then the sync dialog pops up and I can see all the files as
they are synchronised (this takes about 30 seconds or so). All the relevant
files are then available offline. So far, so good.....
However, I would like this to be done automatically when I shutdown/logoff.
I have set this in the synchronise set-up dialog and sure enough, at
shutdown, the sync dialog pops up. The correct shares are selected but when
I tell it to start the sync, each shares changes from 'pending' to
'succeeded' in an instant without actually synchronising anything. This is
also confirmed by the fact that any changes that have been made by other
users (or same user at a different workstation) are not available when the
laptop is off line.
Due to other software problems the laptop has just been reinstalled from
scratch to pretty much an identical installation as before - The previous
installation worked fine. Can anyone tell me what may be causing this?
Thanks
Stewart
