Windows XP Offline files

Im having an issue with Offline files, basically we have one user that is constantly going offline when looking at the folder redirect. we have 'my documents' redirecting to an internal server and when this is viewed she immediately goes offline, you re-synchronise and she's back online. any ideas?
 
One thought might be any of the shortcuts in "My Documents" that are linked to locations offline? Is it possible that a shortcut is pointing to something OFFLINE?

What version of OS and Server?
 
We use Server 2003 R2 sp2 and the user is on XP SP2, I think that would be unlikely but will check or ask her to check its a massive directory, thanks for the suggestion.
