Hi,

I have enabled Offline files on my Windows xp and automatically, I got my
documents folder made available offline, however if I want to deselect a
folder and NOT make it offline, that is not possible because it is greyed
out and I cannot deselect it!!!

Any idea why?

Thanks in advance.

Riadh

If your My Documents folder is redirected (which I guess it would have to be
to be available offline), then it gets redirected automatically unless you
set the following policy in GPO:
User Settings -> admin templates -> Network -> Offline Files -> Always make
redirected folders available offline

Cheers,
Jeremy.

Thanks Jeremy. What you're saying makes actually sense. I've changed the GPO
and enabled the "do not automatically redirect..." which, according to the
explanation, should allow user to manually specify which files and folders
they want to make available offline.

Thank you once again.

Hi,

One more thing to add: when I right-click My docs folder now, I can choose
to select Make available offline, however, inside my docs folder there are
some subfolders that kept the Make available offline option greyed out and
hence I cannot deselect them. What I would like is choose myselft which
files and/or folders I want to make available offline.

Thanks
