I have been using the offline files function in Windows
XP Professional (version 5.1.2600, Service Pack 1, Build
2600) to keep my online files and offline files
synchonized. I am running an IBM Thinkpad T23. Recently
the functions began to fail with the error message:

Errors occurred while Windows was synconizing data.
Unable to merge offline changes on "server name\directory
name." The parameter is incorrect.

I have researched to ensure the files have not moved. How
do I the determine the 'parameter' that Windows says is
incorrect? How do I correct it?

Your offline store cache is corrupted... Take a look at
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=230738 for information on how to
reset the device.
