We are running a VPN using WinServer 2003 on the file server and XP Pro SP2 on the client.
The server is linked to the web using PlusNet ADSL 1MB broadband. The client is linked to the web using Blueyonder 1.5MB broadband. Security is controlled using RSA SecurID tokens.
Although I can log onto the server successfully to synchronise directories tagged to be "available offline", my client PC will not maintain an open connection for longer than <15 seconds. Even with the offline files advanced settings set to "never allow my computer to go offline". The result is that I cannot move or delete files.
Furthermore, even though I have tagged the drive to be "available offline including sub-directories", the synchronisation routine does not replicate folders created on the drive by other users.
I know the net bandwidth is only 256KB 'ish but can this really be my issue?
Can anybody offer any advice?
James
