Sorry if this is the wrong group...

I have about a dozen XP machines on a Win2K domain with about 20 other 2K,

NT4 and Win98 PCs. The XP machines are constantly going offline from the
Win2K server when there is no problem with the network - they can still
connect to the internet router, our AS400 and other machines. This can
happen anywhere up to 20 times a day.

I tried setting some machines to never go offline (Offline Files -
Advanced Options), but it still loses the connection. I also tried
changing Auto Detect link speed to manual but no luck. Does anyone have
any suggestions?

Thanks
Mick

Take a look at the first part of this article:

This is what is causing your machines to constantly go offline and
online the network... Apply the patch and everything should work OK.
