I've noticed a few people with this problem have posted, but no responses
yet. Hope someone can help us...

I have about a dozen XP machines on a Win2K domain with about 20 other 2K,
NT4 and Win98 PCs. The XP machines are constantly going offline from the
Win2K server when there is no problem with the network - they can still
connect to the internet router, our AS400 and other machines. This can
happen anywhere up to 20 times a day.

I tried setting some machines to never go offline (Offline Files -
Advanced Options), but it still loses the connection. I also tried
changing Auto Detect link speed to manual but no luck. Does anyone have
any suggestions?

Thanks
Mick

Anything on this one? I haven't heard a thing on my post.
It only happens on one of about 30 XP machines, so my
thought was software conflict instead of any hardware
issue. This user has a ton of programs running, of which
any number could be the problem. It's also on a Dell
Latitude D500. Just to rule out hardware, what model is
your problem machine?
