Hi,
I have noticed that occasionally (read every couple of months) the users
complain that the offline files are "gone" meaning when they go to the shared
drive for files (which is also setup as S: Drive as well as *My Documents*)
the files are no where to be found, this usualy happens on the road and
causes all types of serious headaches and money loss. When I get the laptop
back the files are indeed gone and I have to delete the cache (left shift +
click on delete files) and restart all over - then they work for a few months
and disappear again! - Can an MVP help me out with this issue? - Also my
users carry around about 3-5 gig of offline files on a typical 60 gig laptop
drive, whenI recreate the offline files and slide the "amount of disk space
used" slider across to the size I want the slider always goes right back to
where it starts at about 1.93 gig - even if I select 10gig and click apply,
THIS IS MOST FRUSTRATING , I have a feeling that the users have too many
files and that is why they are going away - Please can a MVP help me with
this? it is always the BOSS of the company who is losing his files and it SO
FRUSTRATING--
Seth

On the second issue, make sure that you don't have a Group Policy
override your offline files size...

Just as a test the next time you see this issue - try accessing via
UNC path instead of the drive letter. This happens on two laptops at
work...
