I'm haivng a problem that I can't seem to figure out. All network
users have a U:\ drive which is their network user folder
(\\server\user$). No problems and all works fine. We also have users
set up do that their My Documents folder and Bookmarks redirect to
their respective folders (U:\My Documents and U:\Bookmarks). This too
works fine.
The problem lies for a couple users that have laptops. We have the My
Documents folder and Bookmarks folder set to "Make available offline".
This appears to work fine most of the time. However, for some unknown
reason, when a user is away from the network they may try to pull up
their U: drive and open the My documents folder and there is nothing
there except maybe a couple files they ceated while offline. Sometime
they can sync back up over the vpn and all seems to work ok until they
reboot the pc again and then they go away.
i'm trying to figure out if i need to be making the whole "U:"
available offline if that will eliminate this problem or not. Any
ideas would be appreciated.
