I am using offline files in concert with folder redirection of My Documents
for my users, and with 2 exceptions, it ROCKS. It gives me the "hot backup"
facilities we need.
My 2 issues with it so far are:
- It seems that the recycle bin gets synchronized along with My Documents,
which is somewhat suboptimal. They have been deleted, so why would I want
them copied to the server? Leaving them (the deleted files) local would
suit me just fine. Is there a way to configure this?
- Offline files seems to be a "write through" cache, rather than write back.
Since most of my users are developers, this means lots of files going over
the network. Is there a way to set it to be write back? Ideally, there
would be a synchronize on login, synchronize on logout, and possibly one
more on idle. Possible?
Thanks in advance,
