Hi,
My computer has blue screen and hard drive is making some weird noise.
Therefore, I like to perform hard drive check and defrag drive. I found a
lot of defrag software but none of them offer bootable defragmentation for
Windows 2000 (NTFS 5.0). Ironically, how could you defrag disk and when you
can't boot to OS to install those softwares. Any info and tips will be
appreciated.

Thank you,

Johnny Chow

If your hd is making 'weird noise' then defrag software is unlikely to help.
You need to visit your hd manu. web site and download the checking utility.
With this you should be able to create a bootable disk and check your hd.
Sounds terminal!
