I have Outlook 2003 and use it w/Exchange server on a laptop.

Following instructions in online help I have set up off line visability to
outlook files. I can see everything when I am offline but I can not add
Calendar items.

What setup am I missing?

Thanks

Oh. I can enter new scheduled item when I access Exchange via the internet.
All syncing seems to be correct when I reconnect in the office.

Hi Sue,

Lost track of this but it is still a problem.

The message I get when I try to add an appointment is:

"The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook
must me online or connected to complete this action."

I have double checked my settings and still can not figure out what I am
missing.

Appreciate any help.

Hi Sue,

I am using Cached Exchange mode. When I origingally installed Outlook 2003
I couldn't do anything off line. When I set it to Cached Exchanged mode I
was able to create e-mails offline which would get sent when I connected to
the Exchange server however I still can't add contacts or appointments when
offline.

Let me know if there is anything else you need.

Thanks,

Yuke

Hi Sue,

I was able to fix this although I am still not sure why it was broken. When
connected to the exchange server I ran the fix outlook utility and rebooted.
I then unselected all of the off line selections and logged out of outlook.
I then logged in and selected all the work offline selections. When I got
home and logged in I was able to use as I had hoped.

thanks for your assistance.

Best Regards,

Yuke
