Good day,

I've recently installed office 2003 on terminal 2000 server. Issue is some
users when opening up an email get a message windows installer and it looks
like it wants to install something from the installation files. I've
installed all the core files and even re-installed office and it keeps on
doing this.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think Patrick is right about this. If other user's profiles are looking for
the CAB files to setup their classIDs in the Users hive then it seems like it
is not installed with "install" mode.

But here is another question? Did you set the profiles to use Outlook with
Cached mode? Where are the files from Cached mode going to reside, within
the profiles?

You can see that if the profiles are on the system partition, this will
eventually cause a problem.
 
It's not possible to used cached mode on TS, as it is not possible to use
offline files (w/o 3rd party software). That is assuming you installed
office after TS like is required.
