office95 vs windows xp

data bases built in access, under windows me, cannot be
opened under windows xp. office loaded without a hitch.
when you try to open a data base file (or try to copy)
you always get the error message "parameter incorrect".
can anyone make any suggestions? thanks
 
You will probably have to convert the database first.Open
acces and go to, I beleive its Tools - Convert database.
Point the database you want to open and click okay. It
will be converted at which point you can rename it and it
should be fine.
