Half our campus has office 2007 and half has 0ffice 2003 - Both are forced to
save rather than open any attached 2007 document when attempting to open them
from the Web interface. I have found that selecting "open in a new window"
gives users the option to save and those with Office 2007 installedn can do
so - but those who do not are forced to save. All have the compatibility pak
installed.

The extensions for MSO2007 documents is not listed as "blocked" at level one
or two in the Registry or we could change it - is there a way to open rather
than save first Office 2007 documents?

"Both are forced to save rather than open any attached 2007 document when

You mean OWA? That is part of Exchange and not Outlook. The regkey only
applies to Outlook.

The correct newsgroup for OWA is exchange.clients

ok - I did a search for exchange clients and this is the page that came up -
unless you would like to be more specific Or answer the question...

Is this a MIME issue? Can this be changed so that attachments can be opened
without being saved?

No, this newsgroup is outlook.installation
See http://www.howto-outlook.com/newsgroups.htm for an overview of Outlook
and Exchange newsgroups.
