Just got a new computer with Office XP for Small
Business. It dosen't have Access. I have the Office 2000
Professional Upgrade software. Can I install Access from
the 2000 Upgrade without causing any problems with the
rest of the office products which are of a newer version?

It should be fine. I have done it before. Worst side effect I saw was that I
couldn't get office update to work anymore.

If you do *not* have the Access installed on another machine - Office
items are licensed on a basis of one copy to one machine, apart from a
special case of desktop plus the owners laptop - then run the Office
2000 CD and in Setup select to install only Access. Make sure it ends
up in a different folder from the XP ones - though I think they will
anyway, Office XP installs to an Office10 folder under the one suggested
