Office XP Pro installer Problem

Hi
For some reason my installer is not working. I was able to update my XP office pro at one time but now it tells me that it can't check for updates because of the installer. I came to this group, and after reading a little, I decided to delete the patches that I thought applied. Now update tells me that it is unable to check for updates on my computer. I have already tried to uninstall it but I cannot do that either. Can anyone help?

Did you try Uninstalling or Repairing XP Office from Add/Remove Programs
in the Control Panel.

Hi Rich,
I did try uninstalling but It would not give me access. After I tried the regedit things I mentioned earlier it told me that it could not varify that I had the program, but I could still use the program. I will try the website you mentioned and let you know how I do. Thanks for the suggestion.
