office xp / office 2003 beta

Office 2003 has expired I reinstalled office xp and deleted office 2003. everything seems to be working just fine except one thing. I cannot receive any new emails. I can go to my ISP and read my mail but it will not get through to me on my desktop. I have set up a new account that did not do anything. I have repaired and reinstalled Office XP that did not help either. Any Ideas

Try disabling/reconfiguring your firewall. Do you get any error messages by
any change?

IM having the sae trouble, using Office 2003 beta until
yesterday when I installed Office 2003 Professional,
after that Outlook 2003 does not seem to get anay
connection to my ISP, Even after I uninstalled office
2003 and installed Office XP the promlem is still
there...no connectio to ISP plus Web pages do not appear
in Outlook as they used to. So its looks like some Port
problem...or what..Any Idea???

I am encountering the exact same problem. The error
message is only "the operation failed". Nothing else. I am
sure there must be more people with the same problem since
not everybody will upgrade.

I have tryed almost everything except reformatting the
hard drive, outlook just doesnt work , not 2003 not xp,
upgrades unistall etc...But what works is to reinstall
the Outlook 2003 Beta 2. Then everyhting works(changed
the calendar a bit.) but then as soon as I Upgrade to
full verision of Office 2003 Pro or downgrade to Office
XP. Outlook communications just locks. Nothing comes in
and nothing comes out.

Anyone have any clue?
