I inserted Office XP disc. The installation took place as far as I could
tell, but I cannot find the folders, like winword.exe, when I do a search.
How do I start over and try installation from the beginning?

is there an outlook icon on the start menu? an office folder on the all
programs menu?

the files are installed by default to C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office10

does the icon work? if so, run detect and repair on the help menu and it
will add the icons to the start menu.

I don't find detect & repair in Outlook on the Help menu. I don't find
detect and repair on "Help & Support" when I click on Start or anywhere else.
I have Outlook, but I don't seem to have Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.

Are you using full menus or the ones that only show half the items?

If it's really not there on the full menu, go to control panel, add remove
programs and uninstall then reinstall office.

All is A-OK. I rec'd 2 discs with my Home Use package. One for Office XP
and one for Office XP Professional. I have Windows XP (not Pro), but I had
to use both Office discs to load all the Office software. I don't get it,
but it works! Thanks for your efforts to help me.
