OFFICE XP: Can't install updates

The Office Update site informed me the following files
needed to be installed: Word 2002 Security Patch KB830346,
Excel 2002 Security Patch KB830350 and OFFICE XP WEB
SERVICES UPDATE KB812708. I initiated the process and
they downloaded properly. Next I was asked for my
PowerPoint 2002 CD (I bought this application seperately
from my Office XP suite) for the installation of the
above mentioned files. It never took place, though;
after I inserted the CD and it attempted to install the
updates, I received an installation error. Thinking that
perhaps the DVD-ROM drive was having trouble reading the
disc, I initiated the process again--this time inserting
the PowerPoint 2002 CD on the other drive. Same thing
happened. What's wrong?
