Office XP and Windows XP

Hi

I am opening an internet cafe type of business that will
have Windows XP Home and Office XP on them. There will be
about 5 PCs in total.

What I need to know or be pointed in the right direction
is:

1) Do I need a license for each PC or can I use the same
on for them all?

2) Do I need separate discs for each PC or not?

3) I have been looking at Ebay and notice people selling
the software on here, can I use ths for my business?

4) Can I make copies of the software for business
requirements only? i.e. in case I lose the software or
its stolen.

Hi Mark,

1) One license per pc for both Windows and Office. You may want to look into
a multilicense volume pack:

2) One disk is enough, it's the licenses that are the issue.

3) OEM licenses? Sure, just keep in mind that they are limited. No support
from Microsoft, and not transferable to new hardware (the machine dies, you
need a new license)

4) Yes, that is perfectly legal and in keeping with the terms of the EULA

You need separate licenses for each computer. You do not need separate
discs but the CD key needs to match the type of CD that is being used: OEM
CD Key for OEM CD, retail CD Key for retail CD, etc. You can make copies of
the software for backup purposes.

You should probably check the licensing pages for Microsoft. They have
small volume license packs available (minimum of 5 - can mix and match

No you must use different licences.

Yes, as long as you enter different Product IDs.

I would keep the originals in a safe location and use copies for
day-to day use.
