I received a message from microsoft that my 2003 had
expired (it is suppose to run until the end of the month)
and that I could buy 2003 on line. It will be sent in the
mail. Now my Microsoft Outlook goes into a loop that I
can not get out of unless I turn off the computer.
Thanks Microsoft for costing me a days work! I just need
to get it fixed, but, of course, the help line does not
work for Office 2003 Beta. This is not the way to treat
a customer who was trying to be helpful by testing the
Beta version. You can never reach them by phone so what
do I do now?

Microsoft has no obligation to support pre-release software. Beta software
is ONLY meant to be run by users who have a good understand on how to report
bugs to Microsoft. It is NOT meant to be used as everyday software that you
rely on. Now the final version was released today, no bug reporting is
needed anymore. The software should of expired next month yes. You choose
yourself to install the software. Microsoft had over 300,000 that also
installed it. There are there things you can do. (1) post in the correct
Newsgroup, i.e. Office (2) Reinstall it, you should have the CD Media if you
were a beta tester. (3) Purchase Office 2003 Final or wait for it to come in
the mail and install it.

You may purchase Office online at

Why in the world would you be BETA testing on a system you need for work
purposes???
