Hi Ty,
Since the Office Shortcut Bar (OSB) is a component of Microsoft Office, and not a
Windows 2000 application, you would probably have a better chance of getting your
question answered by an Office Expert if you posted in one of the numerous Office
groups such as: microsoft.public.office.misc
Your newsgroup message header seems to indicate that you are posting to the Microsoft
Public Newsgroups using the Microsoft Communities Web Page. If I am correct, if you
click the first link below it will open your browser to the:
Microsoft Communities Newsgroups: microsoft.public.office.misc
http://communities.microsoft.com/ne...CID=US&newsgroup=microsoft.public.office.misc
If you read newsgroups using a NNTP newsreader, such as Outlook Express, and
use the msnews.microsoft.com news server, here is a link:

That being said...
If by writing "add the office tool bar" you mean start the Office Shortcut Bar
component, then for my computer running Microsoft Office 2000 clicking the shortcut
in the following folder will start the OSB:
C:\Documents and Settings\%UserName%\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Office
2000\Microsoft Office Tools\Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar
Another way, assuming Office is installed in the default directory, is to click
Start, click Run, type the following command line and click OK:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE" -o
See the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article for more information on OSA9.exe
and the Microsoft Office 2000 Shortcut Bar:
