Hi

I couldn't find an appropriate newsgroup, so this will have to do for now....

Anyway...

Does anyone know what the date Office System 2003 Beta 2 expires? Or how to find
out?

I'm told it's going to be released on Oct. 22 in Australia and I want to know
how screwed I'm going to be (since I use 2003 for everything and don't want to
have to install Office XP again if it's only a 2 month difference or
something...)

Also, anyone know if Microsoft gives discounts to beta testers if they buy the
full product when its released?

The Microsoft Office System Beta 2 Kit 2003 is time-limited software
that expires when the user's computer system clock reaches November 30, 2003;
at which time the product will operate under Reduced Functionality Mode.
In Reduced Functionality Mode, you cannot save modifications to documents
or create a new document, and additional functionality may be reduced.
Existing documents can still be viewed and printed because the actual document
files themselves remain unchanged.

Microsoft normally does not offer any discounts to beta testers.

You don't read do you? It's printed on every CD in the Beta Kit, in the
documentation *and* in the CD wallet.
 
David;
Since you are asking here, you are not likely a Beta tester.
You have the Beta as an Evaluation version.
If you are a Beta tester, get in touch with your Beta contact at
Microsoft.

The license normally expires upon the release of the commercial
product, less than 2 months away.
Read the EULA for details.
