Office Installation keeps reinstalling on xp clients

Hi i have set up an assigned software installation of officexp with a
transform etc and works well however whenever a new user logs in and opens an
office app then it reinstalls itself or seems to this also happens with
publisher pleae can someone suggest a way of stopping this as it takes time
for each login and each client can be logged in several times a day

Are you using SMS to push this assigned installation?
Can you remove the computer from the assigned status?
Also, I have seen that the SMS client needs to be reinstalled, if that's
what you have.

No we are just using a software installation via group policy i am sure it
has to do with user profiles but i want to cut this out if i can i can
remove the computer from the assigned status but i dont think that is the
answer i will however try it and confirm the outcome
